Join Our Team as an Athletic Education Trainee

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic individuals with a background in sports who are eager to contribute to the educational field. This role is ideal for those looking to gain hands-on experience before pursuing formal teacher training or coaching positions, particularly in sports-related environments with youth.

Why Choose a Career in Education?

Many educators find their roles to be profoundly rewarding and fulfilling. If you possess confidence and creativity, you can create engaging lessons that resonate with students. Lessons that reflect your passion and interests tend to capture the attention of young learners.

What We Are Looking For:

We are interested in candidates with diverse sporting backgrounds to support our Physical Education and Games department. Key sports offered include hockey, rugby, netball, and cricket, and the ability to coach one or more of these sports is crucial.

What We Offer:

This position provides a unique opportunity to work with dynamic and inspiring students in a co-educational setting. The organization offers accommodations and utilities throughout the year, along with complimentary board during term time. You will also have access to on-site fitness facilities, including a gym and swimming pool. Additionally, this paid position may present opportunities for ongoing professional development, training, and coaching qualifications.

Requirements:

All applicants must possess the necessary qualifications and training for this role. For further details, please refer to the FAQ section on the Teaching Personnel website. Please note that all compensation rates include statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.

Commitment to Safety:

Teaching Personnel is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We conduct thorough safeguarding checks on all candidates in line with DfE statutory guidance. This may include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants. We also provide all registered candidates with free training on child protection and prevent duty. All candidates must undergo or have completed a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, with full assistance provided.
