About the Role

NHS Resolution is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Obstetrician to join our team as a National Obstetric Clinical Fellow. This is a unique opportunity to work at a national level and contribute to improving outcomes in maternity care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the workload for a region in England, reviewing case files and providing feedback on how to learn from claims to prevent future harm.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve maternity care and reduce the risk of claims.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in maternity care to share learning and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of the EN scheme, leading on projects and initiatives to improve maternity care.
  • Represent NHS Resolution at external meetings and events, promoting our work and expertise in maternity care.
Requirements
  • Specialist knowledge of obstetrics and maternity care.
  • Full registration with a relevant professional body.
  • Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience (ST5 and above or equivalent).
  • Masters-level degree or equivalent level of study/experience.
  • Satisfactory progression through training, as evidenced by satisfactory outcomes in appraisals, ARCP, revalidations, and relevant specialty examinations.
