Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer specifications and drawings to create precise cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Evaluate design alternatives and propose value engineering solutions.
  • Document assumptions, assess risks and opportunities, and assist in risk management processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams and suppliers to comprehend proposed methodologies.

Bid Management: You will also oversee small to medium-sized bids, ensuring that all tender submissions are completed accurately and punctually. Key tasks include:

  • Adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Reviewing and interpreting tender documents and requirements.
  • Establishing and agreeing on essential rates.
  • Conducting thorough evaluations of subcontractor proposals.

Candidate Profile:

  • A professional with a background in infrastructure contracting and experience in estimating roles.
  • Strong financial understanding and proficiency in software applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Candy Estimating Software is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Progressing towards or possessing a relevant industry chartership (e.g., ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB) is beneficial.
