About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Services Coordinator to join our team at One Hatfield Hospital. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for providing a sterile service to our operating departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with colleagues to ensure a seamless sterile service is provided to theatre and ODP.
  • Manage tray builds for instrument sets using hospital computer systems.
  • Rotate stock using the FIFO method to minimize instances of out-of-date instrument sets.
  • Liaise with companies to facilitate accurate check sheets for loan sets.
  • Facilitate urgent deliveries and manage consignment stock.
  • Keep the instrument/sets room clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety requirements.
  • Carry out other duties related to your role as required.
  • Liaise with IHSS regarding any problems or concerns with sterile services.
  • Keep a record of all instrument sets and single items processed.
  • Use T Doc to track instruments and liaise with instrument repair companies.
Requirements
  • Sound written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of numeracy.
  • Sound PC skills using MS Office suite, including Office and Excel skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Demonstrable customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
