Shift Manager Role Summary

The Shift Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse shift. This role reports to the Operations Manager and is accountable for ensuring that service levels are met and key performance indicators are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the warehousing operation to ensure efficient and accurate sortation of goods.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, in a safe and proactive manner.
  • Manage costs and performance of the shift, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead and engage a team to drive excellent customer service, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and communicate associated actions to improve performance.
  • Provide a shift summary and handover record, detailing any exceptions and actions taken.
Essential Criteria:
  • Previous experience in the logistics or distribution industry, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
