Residential Caregiver - Immediate Opening

As a Residential Caregiver at EF Education First, your primary role will be to foster a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for our vibrant international student body. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the welfare, well-being, and personal growth of students
  • Establishing professional relationships with students grounded in trust and respect
  • Understanding each student's unique circumstances, needs, strengths, and challenges
  • Assisting in the evaluation of school policies and the boarding handbook
  • Enforcing disciplinary measures within the boarding environment
  • Guaranteeing the safety and security of all boarding students
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of student welfare, achievements, and behavioral issues
  • Building connections with relevant school personnel
  • Communicating with parents, guardians, and admissions teams
  • Coordinating support for students needing health-related appointments
  • Administering emergency medications (training will be provided)
  • Reporting any concerns to the safeguarding lead

In collaboration with your team, you will strive to provide every student with an exceptional boarding experience:

  • Ensuring safety through appropriate discipline and support
  • Promoting the well-being of boarders
  • Preparing and serving snacks and meals as necessary
  • Adhering to procedures set forth by the Residence Manager
  • Engaging in quality assurance practices
  • Supporting health and safety standards

To contribute to the academic and broader objectives of the institution:

  • Ensuring students arrive at school punctually and engage in effective study
  • Providing assistance to students who are struggling academically
  • Encouraging students' aspirations for university and extracurricular activities
  • Supporting the Clubs and Activities program
  • Contributing to the promotion of EF Education First life
  • Participating in meetings as required
  • Carrying out additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor

Other Requirements:

  • Possession of an Enhanced DBS status
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK

Compensation: Competitive salary, accommodation, meals, pension plan, 48 hours per week, and 40 days of holiday.
