About the Role

The Belfry Hotel & Resort is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our golf course equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of faulty equipment
  • Communicate with the Head Mechanic regarding repairs, stock requests, and general servicing
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required
  • Repair and maintain two-stroke and four-stroke engines
  • Repair and replace tires and other parts
  • Order and manage spare parts inventory
  • Update and maintain accurate service records
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
  • Responsible for waste disposal and environmental sustainability
Working Arrangements

This role involves working 1 in 2 weekends throughout the summer, with paid overtime. During the winter, this will change to 1 in 3 weekends, working off a lieu hours basis.

About You

We are looking for a skilled and experienced mechanic who is passionate about delivering high-quality results. You will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Intermediate training or experience is required for this role, although an interest in mechanics or golf is desirable.
