Biodiversity Conservation Project Officer

In response to the dual crises of climate change and loss of biodiversity, Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) and its partners have developed the world's first standard specifically recognising and promoting the protection, restoration, and enhancement of biodiversity in tree-planting, Forest Landscape Restoration, Nature-based Solutions and ecological restoration sites.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Officer to support the roll-out and implementation of the Global Biodiversity Standard. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop and deliver a range of activities, including training, capacity building, and technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of the Global Biodiversity Standard
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to build capacity and provide technical assistance
- Develop and deliver training programs and materials
- Contribute to the development of project reports and other documentation
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in a field such as conservation, ecology, or environmental science
- Proven experience in project management and coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
