Aptia Group is seeking skilled individuals for the position of GMP Project Manager to contribute to significant project initiatives across a varied clientele.

In this capacity, you will oversee the processes related to GMP Rectification, GMP Equalisation, and the implementation of GMPs within the broader GMP Project team. Your role will involve acting as the primary liaison for both internal and external stakeholders regarding all inquiries, ensuring that the overall project timeline is adhered to, identifying other relevant projects, and aligning tasks and deadlines.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility in your work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in initial planning discussions to define project scope, provide insights, and develop budgets once the project is underway, proactively identifying any anticipated scope changes that may impact the budget.
  • Confirm project requirements, budget distribution, tracking, and timelines.
  • Regularly review and update budget trackers to ensure precise time recording and maintain awareness of progress against the GMP project administrative budgets.
  • Communicate potential adjustments to project timelines promptly to relevant team members, stakeholders, and occasionally clients or Trustees.
  • Organize planning discussions for various project phases, including transition calls between different teams as tasks are handed over.
  • Maintain a fundamental project plan for each scheme under your oversight from an administrative standpoint, including additional project notes to ensure all pertinent information is preserved throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication among all parties (internal or external) to ensure projects progress smoothly through the established processes, addressing any additional requirements or custom projects to meet client expectations.
  • Assist resource management teams in scheduling projects within the overall department framework.
  • Collaborate with data and system implementation teams to provide necessary support.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of GMP and DB pension schemes and relevant legislation is crucial.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Basic project management skills are advantageous.
  • Proficient in systems, particularly MS Word and Excel.
