Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and business-savvy sales professional to join our Enterprise Growth Office team at Telstra. As a Data Centre Solutions Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for growing our Data Centre portfolio and driving sales growth through consultative selling and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Acceleration
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer accounts, vendor partners, and Telstra leadership to drive sales growth and revenue.
    • Work with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies, leveraging your technical expertise and business acumen to differentiate Telstra's value proposition.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and develop targeted sales plans.
  • Pre-Sales and Solution Development
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and articulate technical solutions that meet customer needs and drive sales growth.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Telstra's Data Centre portfolio and services, as well as emerging trends and technologies in the industry.
    • Work with the sales team to develop and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and pitches that effectively communicate the value of Telstra's solutions.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in data centre technologies, including colocation services, data centre connectivity, and fabric services.
    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of hybrid cloud solutions, data centre private cloud, and public cloud technologies.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to design and develop solutions that meet customer needs and drive sales growth.

  • Technical Skills
    • Strong technical sales and consultative selling skills in data centre and data centre solutions.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong understanding of data centre technologies, including colocation services, data centre connectivity, and fabric services.
  • Business Acumen
    • Strong business development and sales skills, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and revenue.
    • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts, vendor partners, and Telstra leadership.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
