Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Public Liaison Officer to join our team in Portsmouth. As a key member of our Future Generations Team, you will be responsible for managing key relationships with our neighbours, stakeholders, and the wider community throughout the lifecycle of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community liaison, customer care, and communication plans
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including emergency services, local councilors, and attend stakeholder forums
  • Keep all businesses and stakeholders informed of upcoming works and proposals, including traffic management and parking restrictions
  • Take a lead in the preparation, recording, and distribution of community engagement materials
  • Work closely with the site and Future Generations team to identify potential issues and risks
  • Develop and maintain an effective site visit program and identify opportunities to showcase performance internally and externally
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a skilled Public Liaison Officer who can demonstrate an ability to understand, empathize, and work closely with a local community with a diverse range of issues relating to the development of a major highway scheme.

Furthermore, you should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a full driving license. A DBS check will also be required.
