Executive Chef

Metropolitan Gaming is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and producing high-quality food to the highest standards, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare and produce food to the highest standard, following specifications given by senior kitchen staff.
- Supervise and control the work of the Commis Chef, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Liaise with the Head Chef and Executive Chef to obtain supplies of stocks and stores according to menu requirements.
- Check stock rotation and proper storage of cooked and uncooked food, ensuring that all areas of the kitchen are maintained to a high standard.
- Adhere strictly to food hygiene and health and safety regulations, ensuring that all kitchen staff are aware of and comply with these regulations.
- Motivate and train junior staff members, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
- Report any faults of equipment immediately to the Executive Chef or Head Chef, ensuring that all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
- Pro-active attitude with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Ability to motivate junior team members, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
- High level of flexibility with the role and working hours, including weekends and night shifts.
- Qualification in Food Safety, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with peers and superiors.
- Able to communicate in clear and concise English, with a strong understanding of the company's values and culture.
Varying shifts, over a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends and night shifts. Hours worked beyond a normal working week will not be entitled to receive additional pay or time off in lieu, with the exception of working on public holidays.
