Executive Chef

The Real Greek is a dynamic and supportive company that values its employees and offers excellent training and development opportunities. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in Southampton.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. You will work closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef to achieve our business objectives and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the kitchen to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team to achieve high standards of food quality and presentation
- Develop and implement menu ideas and specials
- Monitor and control food costs and inventory
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Executive Chef to achieve business objectives
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven experience in a senior culinary role
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Financial awareness and ability to manage budgets
- Basic IT skills and ability to use kitchen management systems
Hygiene/Health & Safety/ Food & Safety:
- Attend health and safety training and food safety training
- Ensure all food presented to customers is prepared to the highest standards
- Monitor and control food quality and freshness
- Report any issues with food quality and freshness to the General Manager and Executive Chef
Development of the Kitchen Team:
- Recognize and reward good performance
- Support the General Manager and Executive Chef in recruiting and training new staff
- Develop and implement training programs to improve kitchen skills and knowledge
