We are pleased to announce a remarkable opportunity within our Reconciliation division. We are seeking a seasoned Reconciliation Specialist to provide essential support to the team and management on a daily basis.

*** This position requires onsite presence, necessitating 5 days a week in our London office. ***

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily reconciliation of all bank accounts associated with CMC Markets within our reconciliation platform, matching transactions as necessary, providing comprehensive commentary for each unresolved item, and coordinating with relevant departments and banks to swiftly address any discrepancies.
  • Conduct manual reconciliations for bank accounts not integrated into the reconciliation platform and investigate any variances. Collaborate with internal teams, external banks, or other data sources to identify and rectify issues as needed.
  • Reconcile Suspense accounts, probing into any outstanding items and collaborating with global payment teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Oversee all Treasury and Client segregated transactions, working closely with Business Operations, Liquidity Risk Management, and Client Asset Management to promptly address any inconsistencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all daily, weekly, and monthly Service Level Agreements (SLAs) set for the Reconciliation Team.
  • Assist in the compilation of daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
  • Verify that reconciliation systems and processes function effectively, and engage with reconciliation software providers regarding any issues or projects that may arise.
  • Update and maintain departmental procedures as necessary.
  • Support the processing of Operations department invoices within CMC Markets' procurement system.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in bank reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with bank reconciliation systems and software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage personal workload and that of the team effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
