Development Editor Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Development Editor to join our team at Inspired Selection. As a Development Editor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commissioning editors and working closely with authors to ensure that books progress efficiently and to schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the commissioning editors in managing book projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with authors to provide detailed manuscript feedback, driving the development of high-quality content.
  • Conduct peer reviews and market research to inform editorial decisions.
  • Work closely with sales, production, and marketing departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Undertake new editions signing targets with commissioning editor support.
  • Manage projects independently, making a direct impact on the quality of publishing.
  • Develop strong professional relationships internally and externally, representing the company at conferences and events.
