We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Editor to join our team at Redwood, a leading global publishing organisation based in London. This is a hybrid working role with three days in the office and two days working from home.
About the RoleThis is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Commissioning Editor looking for further responsibility and the chance to work on a broad range of titles. As a Commissioning Editor, you will be responsible for building a network of academic contacts and working as part of the publishing team to create, implement, and track projects.
Key Responsibilities- Build a network of academic contacts to source new titles and authors
- Work with the publishing team to develop and implement project plans
- Commission and acquire new titles for the Life Science list
- Collaborate with authors and contributors to ensure high-quality content
- Track and manage project progress to meet deadlines
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrable relevant commissioning experience within the areas of the life sciences
- A relevant degree in a life scientific subject
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills
