Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Care Worker to provide tailored assistance and support to individuals utilizing our services, in accordance with established care plans.

As a Care Worker, your responsibilities will include working with various populations, including the elderly, individuals with learning disabilities, those with mental health challenges, and others with complex needs.

This role involves delivering services in supported living arrangements, extra care facilities, and community-based settings.

Flexibility is essential, as you will be required to work evenings and weekends to meet service demands. Candidates must be physically capable of performing moving and handling tasks, possess a vehicle with appropriate insurance for business use, and will undergo an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

Sleep-in duties may be required, and participation in an on-call rota could be necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized care to clients as outlined in their individual care plans, which may include personal hygiene assistance.
  • Provide care that fosters independence, respects rights, and encourages community inclusion.
  • Request professional help in emergency situations.
  • Adhere to Care Quality Commission standards, ensuring that care plans and risk assessments are current and reflect the unique needs and preferences of residents.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Awareness of health and safety protocols.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Understanding of CQC requirements.
  • Desire to acquire new skills.
