Care First - Eden Lodge is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support and care to clients with disabilities, enabling them to take full benefit of our provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and promote the development of clients attending our 'Skills Tank' Provision, meeting the range of social care and support needs for vulnerable adults with diverse needs and conditions.
  • Actively support the Hub Manager in delivering educational and learning activities, promoting a quality and professional service at all times.
  • Give concise and accurate feedback to the Hub Manager on each learner's progress, ensuring assessments are focused and the learning direction clear.
  • Be aware of all fire regulations and policies involved for the safety of students and work colleagues, promoting Health and Safety throughout the Skills Tank.
  • Participate in all training organised as appropriate to the position.

Requirements

  • Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant or within a similar role.
  • Experience of working with adults with learning difficulties/disabilities, autism, and Mental Health.
  • Experience of behaviour that can challenge.
  • Desirable – knowledge and experience of autism and Mental Health.
  • Desirable - NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care - Adults.
  • Prepared to undertake on-going training and day-to-day learning throughout employment.
