A new role has opened at Cambridge Airport for an Air Traffic Services Assistant (ATSA) to support Air Traffic Controllers. Benefits of working with us include:

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting controllers in ensuring a safe, efficient, and orderly flow of aircraft operations.
  • Post-employment, obtaining a Meteorological Observers qualification to prepare and distribute meteorological observations and aeronautical information for controllers and pilots.
  • Communicating essential information to staff regarding aircraft movements, flight bookings, royal flights, navigation alerts, and other airspace activities, as well as sending flight plans and departure slot messages to external organizations.
  • In case of an aircraft emergency, making emergency calls and executing actions as outlined in the Airport Emergency Plan.
  • Participating in the operation of the Air Traffic Services simulator.
Qualifications required:
  • GCSEs/A Levels in subjects A-C are desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • A valid UK driving license is preferred
  • Good color perception is necessary.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize various work streams effectively.
