About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and driven individual to join our dynamic team as a File Handler focusing on causation claims. As a key member of our counter-fraud team, you will play a crucial role in handling a caseload of litigated RTA Causation files under Delegated Authority on behalf of our insurance clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle suspected causation cases from the point of litigation through to the resolution of the case.
  • Conduct detailed review and analysis of evidence throughout the life of the case.
  • Identify strategic litigation opportunities and complex cases when appropriate.
  • Achieve the best result in litigation, protecting the client's position in relation to proceedings.
  • Ensure full compliance with the court timetable and utilize procedural tactical advantages where possible.
  • Adhere to file management policies and maintain financial excellence.
  • Retain profitability and achieve financial targets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing.
Requirements
  • An understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes, including indemnity principles.
  • Knowledge of the litigation process and working knowledge of the CPR, relevant Personal Injury Protocols, and working platforms/portals.
  • Experience of time recording and billing systems is desirable.
Working Arrangements

We are an agile worker and require attendance at the office at least one day a week. The primary location for this role is Parklands, Bolton office.
