Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Support Officer to join our Highways and Transportation department in Swansea. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our site-based staff and ensure the smooth operation of our technical support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Highways Technical Support team, including data entry, document preparation, and filing.
  • Deal with the public mainly by telephone, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Use Microsoft Office systems to maintain accurate records and reports, and to provide technical administrative support to the team.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain databases and other systems to support the team's work.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent administration skills, including data entry, document preparation, and filing.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office systems, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Previous administrative experience in an office environment, with a strong understanding of administrative procedures and protocols.
