About the Role

Ontario Teachers' is seeking a seasoned Managing Director to spearhead our investment initiatives across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This role demands a strategic leader with a proven track record in private equity markets who can effectively guide a team of investment professionals in identifying and executing direct investments within the region.

Your Impact

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan for your assigned sector, ensuring alignment with Ontario Teachers' overall investment strategy.
  • Lead the evaluation and execution of promising new investment opportunities, conducting thorough due diligence and presenting compelling recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio company management teams to drive value creation post-transaction, providing strategic guidance and support to achieve ambitious growth objectives.
  • Cultivate a robust network of key stakeholders across the EMEA region, fostering strong relationships with industry leaders, potential investors, and government officials.

Your Expertise

  • 15+ years of demonstrated experience leading private equity transactions in the EMEA market, showcasing a consistent track record of successful investments and returns.
  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with a deep understanding of valuation methodologies and investment structures.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, effectively managing and motivating high-performing teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building consensus and influencing decision-makers at all levels.
