About the Role...

As a Senior Manager within the Strategic Partnerships division of Affordable Housing Grants, you will be instrumental in facilitating the achievement of new affordable housing projects under the Affordable Homes Programme (AHP), which aims to create a significant number of homes.

In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of Strategic Partners tasked with delivering affordable housing solutions throughout England. Your collaborative efforts will be essential in supporting the successful execution of their development plans.

Joining a team characterized by collaboration, expertise, and a commitment to excellence, you will work collectively to meet delivery objectives. The team values diverse experiences and perspectives, fostering effective decision-making and problem-solving.

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of affordable housing in a rapidly expanding national organization dedicated to social impact. You will engage with key stakeholders and a professional team to ensure the efficient resolution of delivery challenges while identifying opportunities to enhance affordable housing supply.

The Senior Manager will also contribute to broader operational activities, collaborating closely with other teams within Affordable Housing Grants and across Homes England. This role presents exciting projects that balance daily operations with innovative strategies to unlock housing supply.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess experience in affordable housing delivery within a development team, whether in a Registered Provider, developer, or local authority context. A solid understanding of the development lifecycle, from land acquisition to planning, construction, and project completion, is essential. Experience in managing grant-funded affordable housing initiatives and contract oversight is also required.

We seek an enthusiastic and proactive individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment, working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to build effective relationships while maintaining a fast-paced work ethic.

This role is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain a broader strategic perspective on affordable housing delivery at a national level, leveraging their experience to identify new investment avenues and innovative delivery methods.

You will be comfortable assisting the Head of Strategic Partnerships with complex housing issues to enhance affordable housing availability. Resilience and the ability to manage senior-level stakeholders are crucial, as discussions will be informed by a strong understanding of the commercial and operational implications of our work.

As a professional in affordable housing, you will demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in an inclusive manner.

Some travel may be required for internal and external meetings with partners.
