Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Healthcare Administrative Assistant to become a part of our dedicated team at Tower House Surgery, providing essential support during a maternity leave period.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a variety of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, and administrative staff, while also interacting with patients. Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and effective communication abilities are crucial for this role. The work environment is supportive and collegial, fostering a positive atmosphere.

Previous experience or qualifications in medical administration are preferred, and candidates should possess proficient typing skills. Familiarity with healthcare software systems would be beneficial.

Job Duties

- Provide audio typing and administrative support to the practice, assisting healthcare providers and management in delivering efficient services.

- Process and manage patient referrals, ensuring timely communication with hospitals and agencies.

- Maintain tracking systems for sensitive cases, liaising with relevant authorities as necessary.

- Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes as required.

- Handle general correspondence and administrative tasks as needed.

- Prepare medical reports in accordance with established protocols.
