About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing technical architecture solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop technical architecture solutions that align with business requirements and overarching architecture framework.
  • Participate in technical architecture design peer review process to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Present technical architecture designs to technical assurance board and support technical assurance process.
  • Support implementation of technical architecture designs and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
  • Evaluate architecture and design options and make recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support technology roadmap process and undertake investigations related to new and existing technologies.
  • Undertake continuous learning to maintain knowledge of key technologies and emerging trends.
Requirements
  • Proven experience producing technical architecture designs within small to medium enterprise environments.
  • Proven understanding of non-functional requirements and their impact on technical architecture design.
  • Good working knowledge of end-user, compute, networking, storage technologies, including desktop and server virtualization technologies.
  • Strong awareness of security to ensure technical designs provide sufficient protection for workloads.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions deployed to multi-tenanted community cloud platforms.
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions deployed to public cloud platforms.
  • Experience with core NEC technologies, including operating systems, server virtualization, networking, and storage.
  • Experience designing and delivering solutions within the UK Government domain.
  • Familiarity with compliance and security standards, such as ISO 27001 and NCSC Cyber Essentials.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management principles and tools.
