About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing technical architecture solutions for our corporate and customer solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop technical architecture solutions that meet business requirements and align with our overarching architecture framework.
  • Participate in the technical architecture design peer review process to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Present technical architecture designs to the technical assurance board and support the technical assurance process.
  • Support the implementation of technical architecture designs and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
  • Evaluate architecture and design options and make recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support the technology roadmap process and undertake investigations related to new and existing technologies.
  • Undertake continuous learning to maintain knowledge of key technologies and emerging trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience producing technical architecture designs within a small to medium enterprise environment.
  • Proven understanding of non-functional requirements and their impact on technical architecture design.
  • Demonstrates a good working knowledge of end-user, compute, networking, storage technologies.
  • Strong awareness of security to ensure technical designs provide sufficient protection for workloads.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience designing and implementing solutions deployed to a multi-tenanted community cloud platform.
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions deployed to public cloud platforms.
  • Experience of a subset of the core NEC technologies.
  • Experience designing and delivering solutions within the UK Government domain.
  • Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management principles & tools.
