Forseven, a pioneering company in the electric vehicle industry, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Chassis Engineer - Bushes & Mounts to join our dynamic Engineering team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity out of our offices in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, collaborating with visionary engineers to develop cutting-edge chassis components.

Reporting to the Head of Chassis, you will be responsible for leading the development and refinement of chassis components, including bushes and mounts, to ensure optimal performance, durability, and safety of Forseven's EVs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and delivery ownership of EDU, Suspension, and subframe bushes.
  • Support design and development to meet targets in terms of NVH, stiffness, durability, load control, dynamic attributes, and package.
  • Define product technical specifications that meet vehicle, system, manufacturing, service, and quality targets.
  • Deliver components that meet project milestones without compromising technical targets.
  • Support vehicle dynamics with technical feasibility studies and define product specifications.
  • Define CAE and durability boundary conditions and targets.
  • Define DVP, arrange, and support track and rig tests accordingly.
  • Monitor engineering completion (DFMEA progress, part releases, and DVP status).
  • Support supplier selection and purchasing on cost and lead time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in the design and development of chassis components, particularly bushes and mounts.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to chassis component design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret test data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams.
