About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at North East Autism Society. As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic and/or neurodivergent young people and adults to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bespoke round-the-clock care and support to individuals in their own homes and in the community.
  • Assist with personal and household tasks, meal preparation, and daily living activities.
  • Support individuals to access community resources, such as healthcare services, education, and leisure activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and best practices to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • A can-do attitude, drive, and resilience to work in a demanding role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with individuals and their families.
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills through comprehensive induction, training, and mentoring.
  • A commitment to upholding the values and principles of North East Autism Society.
