The Opportunity: Payroll Projects Consultant

We're seeking a skilled Payroll Projects Consultant to play a vital role in shaping the future of our payroll operations. With a two-year pipeline of statutory changes across the UK and ROI, this consultant will ensure all change initiatives and projects are effectively managed and delivered on time.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of assigned change programs, including progress reporting and stakeholder management.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and internal/external stakeholders to understand current and future state requirements, designing initiatives that support the achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Coordinate efforts with other Continuous Improvement consultants across various teams, including Pay Services, Reward, Health and Wellbeing, and People Technology.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, responding effectively to service failures.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of HMRC payroll compliance regulations and experience implementing payroll projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate messages to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage projects remotely and effectively.
  • A 'Be Brave' mindset – curious about new ways of working with an interest in technology.
  • Strong self-management, initiative, and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities – diagnose problems, identify root causes, and develop intuitive solutions for end users.
