About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at IO Associates. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical systems for electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for electric vehicles, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Oversee testing and validation of designs, troubleshooting issues and implementing design improvements.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and support.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the automotive or related industry.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
  • Knowledge of electric vehicle systems, including battery technology and powertrains, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
