Key Responsibilities- Lead the Mechanical Engineering Team: Oversee the design of parts and assemblies using CAD software, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence.
- Structural and Loading Analysis: Undertake, lead, review, and approve structural and loading analysis for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Team Management: Manage a small to medium-sized team of mechanical and analysis engineers, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Supplier Interface: Interface with suppliers and fabricators during engineering and manufacturing release phases, ensuring seamless integration and quality control.
- Engineering Cycle Management: Drive and adhere to the stage-gated engineering cycle, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and objectives.
- Change Management: Raise, review, and approve Change Requests as part of Engineering Change Management processes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in mechanical engineering leadership roles.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record in leading teams and implementing Change Management processes within a dynamic engineering environment.
- CAD Software: Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Solidworks, and familiarity with other CAD packages.
- PDM Systems: Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems to manage design data and documentation.
- FEA and CFD: Practical and theoretical knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Heat Transfer principles is advantageous.
