About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Operations Director to join our Construction team at S and P Associates. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all construction logistics and operations, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and own all construction logistics and operations, ensuring seamless project delivery
  • Lead and manage site managers and supervisors, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded
  • Oversee the production and review of documentation, including risk and method statements, quality plans, and standard operating procedures
  • Deliver safe projects, exceeding client KPIs while liaising with the SHEQ Manager
  • Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure cash flow is managed effectively
  • Lead the tender process, coordinating with commercial surveyors to ensure successful outcomes
  • Oversee site resources, developing teams and identifying training requirements and areas for improvement
  • Contribute to business development, representing the company positively with clients and identifying opportunities for further contracts
  • Attend and contribute to customer and internal meetings, leading meetings as required
  • Report to Senior Management on a monthly basis
About You
  • Hold a degree qualification or equivalent
  • Hold a Black CSCS card
  • MCIOB would be ideal but not essential
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Be flexible to travel to various sites in the Cheshire area
  • NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Experience with JCT 2016, NEC 4, and client bespoke contracts
  • Clear criminal record
