Your Role

As a vital member of our national Client Services team, you will play an essential role in our Birmingham office, serving as a primary liaison for clients and external parties involved in legal proceedings. You will collaborate closely with our fee-earners, assisting them with various administrative, secretarial, and non-billable responsibilities while striving to deliver outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a point of communication for clients and external parties on behalf of partners and fee-earners within the Private Client teams.
  • Assisting with legal tasks, including the preparation of legal forms and documentation.
  • Supporting the drafting of legal documents such as wills, powers of attorney, and deeds.
  • Managing the calendars of fee-earners, arranging travel plans, preparing meeting agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Facilitating an efficient and effective billing process.
  • Opening and closing client files, along with managing all matter-related maintenance.

About You

  • Experience as a legal assistant or secretary working alongside seasoned fee-earners is preferred, though we welcome candidates with administrative or secretarial experience in a professional setting.
  • A solid understanding of relevant case management systems.
  • Exceptional client care skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
