Advanced Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join our Child Protection and Child in Need team in Salford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex cases, building effective relationships with children, young people, and their families, and providing a professional social work service.
Key Responsibilities:- Effectively manage a limited caseload of complex cases in accordance with statutory responsibilities.
- Undertake a variety of assessment types depending on the needs of the family.
- Build effective relationships with children, young people, and their families enabling full participation in assessment, planning, review, and decision-making.
- Effectively manage safeguarding risk, including child protection, working within a multi-agency environment, and providing a professional social work service.
- Offer formal, informal, and reflective supervision to qualified social work staff, ASYEs, and trainees, and contribute to the development of the wider workforce.
- Support the Practice Manager with the development and performance of the team.
- Chair Strategy Meetings and provide case direction when appropriate.
- Lead by example and deliver best practice.
- Up to 34 days holiday a year (plus bank holidays).
