Job Title: Advanced Practitioner Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join our team at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Adult Community Mental Health Team, you will provide leadership, support, and advice to social work staff, ensuring the delivery of effective services for adults experiencing severe mental health conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation and guidance on complex social care practice issues to care coordinators and senior staff.
  • Support and supervise social workers working in the CMHT.
  • Act as Care Coordinator in accordance with the Care Programme Approach.
  • Carry out social work duties and interventions in relation to complex cases.
  • Act as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) for Salford.

You will work closely with a range of professionals and colleagues to promote a culture of professional curiosity and contribute to the positive social work identity within the organisation.

Requirements:
  • Possession of a recognised Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Best Interest Assessor or willingness to undertake the training.
  • Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) status or willingness to undertake the training.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £44,428 to £47,420 per annum, plus one increment for acting as AMHP manager. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to support your career growth.
