Job Title: Child Support Worker

Join SuperCare Residential as a Child Support Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment that enables young people to thrive and reach their full potential.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support and care to young people, including key working and daily activities.
  • Work in partnership with young people, their social workers, and other agencies to ensure their needs are met.
  • Coordinate and review care plans to support young people's transition to adulthood and greater independence.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Complete administrative tasks and record keeping associated with key working responsibilities.
  • Support young people in taking responsibility for their lives, including planning and decision-making.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
Household Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to maintaining the house, including practical activities and caring for the environment.
  • Be accountable for allocated funds and report any necessary repairs.
Personal Qualities:
  • Act as a positive role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples.
  • Stay up-to-date with good practice and develop skills, knowledge, and experience through regular supervision and training.
Requirements:
  • Legally allowed to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • Experience working with children or young people in an Ofsted environment.
  • Level 3 Diploma or above (or currently working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care).
  • Enhanced DBS Check and on the update service.
  • Ability to drive with a full and clean license.
