Workshop Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team at HCL Fleet Services, a leading commercial HGV workshop in Croydon. As a Workshop Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our workshop, overseeing a team of mechanics and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure high-quality service and repair work is completed to meet customer expectations
• Efficiently manage equipment, materials, and labor resources to optimize workshop performance
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and maintain a deep understanding of our workshop's processes
• Utilize IT and technology to drive workshop performance and improve efficiency
• Coach and support the workshop team to develop individual competencies and skills
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
• Identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to streamline the customer journey
• Possess commercial acumen and a good understanding of our workshop's financials
• Increase productivity by removing waste and tracking KPIs while effectively managing the team
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a workshop management role
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of IT and technology
• Good financial acumen
• Ability to manage a team of mechanics and technicians
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Passionate about delivering high-quality service to customers
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field
