High-Energy Laser Scientist Industrial Placement Opportunity

This industrial placement offers a unique opportunity to work with a world-leading team in high-energy laser science. As a member of the Centre for Advanced Laser Technology and Applications (CALTA), you will be involved in cutting-edge research and development projects, working alongside experienced scientists and engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct experiments and data analysis using high-energy lasers and related equipment
- Develop and implement new techniques to improve laser performance and explore new applications
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement research projects
- Present findings and results to the team and other stakeholders
- Currently enrolled on an undergraduate degree course and returning to university/studies to complete your undergraduate degree following the placement
- Required or have requested to take an industrial placement year
- Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement
- Predicted grades corresponding to a 2:1 or higher
- Good problem-solving skills, time management skills, and ability to work independently
