About the Role

We are seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to join our team at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). As a Graduate Engineer, you will work on real projects from day one, designing and developing cutting-edge electronic systems and integrated circuits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analogue, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits using a wide range of technologies.
  • Design sophisticated digital systems using FPGAs and ASICs.
  • Provide application engineering and consultancy services for the latest design tools and integrated circuit design flows.
  • Design and develop CMOS image sensors using state-of-the-art microelectronics technologies.
Requirements
  • Achieved or be on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK at the time of starting employment.
  • Have a minimum of three A-levels at grade C or above, one of which must be mathematics, or alternative qualifications of an equivalent level.
  • Have relevant university projects or coursework that demonstrates a good understanding of basic electronic circuits and semiconductor device fundamentals.
  • Enjoy solving challenging electronic engineering problems and have an analytical and logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Be a self-motivated team player with a strong drive to acquire new knowledge and keep skills updated in rapidly evolving semiconductor technologies.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate relevant technical information to colleagues, project partners, and customers.
