About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Rayner Intraocular Lenses. As a key member of our supply chain function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of products to our customers while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Demand Forecasts

Develop and oversee the execution of monthly demand forecasts, ensuring alignment with our overall business strategy and goals.

Review and Optimize Supply Chain Planning

Review planning 0-12 months horizon to ensure optimal product supply for our portfolios, balancing inventory levels with customer demand.

Lead the Sales and Operations Planning Process

Prepare and drive the monthly Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP), ensuring cross-functional alignment and effective decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Identify and Mitigate Supply Constraints

Proactively identify future supply constraints and develop options to mitigate, ensuring minimal disruption to our supply chain.

Optimize Transportation Routes

Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments, reducing costs and improving efficiency.

Monitor Supplier Performance

Monitor supplier performance to assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements, ensuring our high standards are met.

Ensure GxP Compliance

Be responsible for all GxP oversight supply chain activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Drive Continuous Improvement

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support an efficient supply chain and demand process, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.

Manage Phase-in and Phase-out of Products

Actively manage, together with other involved functions, the phase-in and phase-out of products, ensuring a seamless transition.

Lead and Execute Projects

Lead and execute projects successfully, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver results.

Provide Management Information

Provide management information to support informed decision-making, ensuring our leadership team has the insights they need to drive business success.

Support the Team

Support the team when required, providing guidance and expertise to ensure our supply chain function operates effectively.

Requirements
  • Experience in Sales and Operations Planning

Previous experience (minimum 7 years) in sales and operations planning roles, integrated business planning process (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Forecasting).

Education and Qualifications

Educated to degree level (or have equivalent experience in supply chain).

Leadership and Project Management

Successfully led projects and initiatives working within both commercial and supply chain.

Continuous Improvement

Successful track record on continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills

Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, experience in process automation, simplification (e.g. RCA/RPA), knowledge of analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau), and knowledge and experience of applying regulation relating to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) in Pharmaceutical Industry.

ERP Systems

Knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP).

APICS Certification

APICS certification.
