About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Rayner Surgical Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of products to our customers while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Demand Forecasts: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute monthly demand forecasts, ensuring alignment with our overall business strategy.
  • Optimize Inventory Levels: Review planning horizons to ensure optimal product supply for our portfolios, balancing inventory levels with customer demand.
  • Drive Sales and Operations Planning: Prepare and drive the monthly Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP), ensuring cross-functional alignment and effective decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Identify and Mitigate Supply Constraints: Proactively identify future supply constraints and develop options to mitigate.
  • Transportation Route Optimization: Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • GxP Oversight: Be responsible for all GxP oversight supply chain activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support an efficient supply chain and demand process.
  • Project Management: Lead and execute projects successfully.
  • Management Information: Provide management information.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience (minimum 7 years) in sales and operations planning roles, integrated business planning process (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Forecasting).
  • Educational Background: Educated to degree level (or have equivalent experience in supply chain).
  • Leadership Skills: Successfully led projects and initiatives working within both commercial and supply chain.
  • Continuous Improvement: Successful track record on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, experience in process automation, simplification (e.g. RCA/RPA), knowledge of analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau), knowledge and experience of applying regulation relating to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) in Pharmaceutical Industry, knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP), APICS certification.
