Job Title: Nurse Specialist - Adult Critical Care

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our Adult Critical Care team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in adult critical care and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in our Adult Critical Care unit
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) or RN Child/Adult Registered Nurse with active NMC registration
  • Good understanding of the NMC code of Professional Conduct
  • Able to solve and escalate problems and issues
  • Experience of working in the relevant area i.e. Adult critical care; Emergency department; cardiac intensive care
  • Experience in Neonatal or Paediatric nursing
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations
  • Interest to develop knowledge of the clinical speciality and own practice
  • Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  • Specialist neonatal qualification (formally ENB 405)
