Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality education and support to pupils with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for pupils with SEN
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils
  • Provide training and support to other staff members on SEN-related topics
  • Contribute to the development of the school's SEN policy and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and development

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in working with pupils with SEN
  • Additional qualification in SEN or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working with pupils with a range of SEN
  • Knowledge of current methodology in the education of pupils with SEN
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and plan jointly
  • Commitment to undertaking a detailed induction programme and additional training relevant to the post
