Position Overview

This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a Specialty Registrar (ST3+ equivalent) in General Medicine to become a vital member of our dynamic and expanding team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. The ideal candidate will join a dedicated and innovative group, committed to enhancing service delivery. A keen interest in General Internal Medicine, along with relevant experience, is essential, and candidates must hold registration and a license with the General Medical Council.

This position is an excellent chance to further develop clinical expertise. While it is not a formal training role, the successful applicant will have access to educational sessions and mentorship within the hospital to foster their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of this position is to ensure the coordination of high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals on the ward. This includes confirming that all patients have a clear diagnosis and treatment plan, as well as receiving daily medical evaluations.

The post holder will collaborate closely with the medical team and the broader multidisciplinary clinical team to provide outstanding patient care and to implement enhancements in service delivery. This role is particularly suited for candidates with MRCP who are seeking to gain further experience at the ST3-5 level in General (Internal) Medicine.

The position offers invaluable experience in acute General Medicine and Care of the Elderly. The post holder will work in conjunction with the medical team and the wider multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Additionally, the post holder will assist the consultant in advancing service improvements in response to the evolving needs of the community.
