Job Title: Specialty Doctor in Intensive Care Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Intensive Care Medicine team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, responsive intensive care services to patients at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, working closely with Consultant colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes.

The role will involve supervising patients in the critical care unit, participating in the on-call rota, and contributing to the development of the department's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the critical care unit
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing indirect supervision to junior doctors
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with Consultant colleagues to ensure seamless patient care
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in critical care medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience in critical care, with a strong understanding of airway management and the ability to prioritize and cope with stressful situations.
