Position Overview

In light of our ongoing expansion within the water and wastewater industry, OCU Group is excited to announce a new opportunity for a seasoned Lead Civil Engineering Specialist. This role is ideal for candidates with substantial experience in the water sector, and it will involve collaboration with various project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting proposals and competitive bids to secure new projects
  • Creating and delivering project presentations
  • Engaging with clients to ascertain their needs
  • Formulating project plans and estimating financial and time resources
  • Negotiating and finalizing business contract terms
  • Coordinating budgets and timelines with clients
  • Overseeing construction schedules and financial plans
  • Addressing unforeseen expenses
  • Participating in site meetings to assess project progress
  • Serving as the primary liaison for clients, site personnel, and project managers
  • Collaborating with external parties to clarify roles and responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with established technical standards in construction projects
  • Interfacing with technical and financial teams, subcontractors, legal advisors, and client representatives
  • Managing final accounts upon project completion
  • Balancing work between on-site and office environments

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree or HND in Construction or Project Management, or equivalent professional experience
  • Familiarity with NEC3 / NEC4 / FIDIC contracts is advantageous
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction sector
  • Knowledge of legal documentation relevant to the industry
  • Proficiency in mathematics and IT
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong business management acumen
  • Ability to exercise initiative
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
