Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to spearhead all facets of Process Engineering, particularly focusing on significant upcoming development initiatives.

Role Type
This is a permanent position within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary project team, where you will contribute your process engineering expertise to major projects. We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the specification and commissioning of new process equipment.
  • Assisting in the detailed design of process facilities, including equipment, instrumentation, control strategies, and material selection.
  • Creating Heat and Mass balances, Process simulations, PFDs, P&IDs, and Equipment and line lists.
  • Establishing equipment relief case definitions along with relief stream sizing and equipment and line sizing.
  • Engaging in all pertinent HAZARD study phases, LOPA Studies, Process risk assessments, SIL assessments, and Maintainability and Operability evaluations.
  • At various project stages, you will be expected to mentor contract and junior process engineers.
  • Reviewing and endorsing calculations and documents produced by other process engineers.
  • Providing technical process engineering support to site teams, conducting plant trials, and leading optimization, efficiency, and debottlenecking initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the chemical sector, preferably with exposure to food and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Chartered Chemical Engineer status is required.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Process Engineer on significant capital projects.
  • Strong process safety awareness, with experience in HAZARD studies, LOPA Studies, Process risk assessments, and SIL assessments.
  • Ability to manage oneself effectively and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player.
