About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Asset Management team at Legal & General. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Middle Office derivatives activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Middle Office derivatives activities, including Derivative trade management, Derivative lifecycle management, collateral management, OTC management, Private Credit servicing, and Securities Lending oversight.
  • Evaluate service performance of retained and outsourced teams using daily and weekly service delivery KPI/KRIs and take appropriate action.
  • Lead in all matters related to employee management, ensuring consistent application of management discretion and adherence to Group policies and procedures.
  • Strive for excellence in data delivery, displaying an empathic leadership style, leading by example, and coaching and supporting a team expected to deliver high standards.
  • Identify, prioritize, assess, and mitigate strategic and operational risks and issues within the function and outsourced provider, ensuring senior stakeholders are briefed and updated as necessary.
  • Develop and refine quality processes that promote data integrity within the business, focusing on continuous improvements to drive the development of the outsource model.
  • Engage with secondary service recipients (Client Service, Investments, and other Operational Teams) to ensure service delivery meets standards for today and future business levels.
  • Work in partnership with Head of Department, Senior Managers/Peers, and outsource provider to develop strategy and processes for managing middle office retained and outsourced activities, improving data delivery efficiency and accuracy.

  • Demonstrated experience in the asset management industry or relevant experience.
