We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our ScS Reporting Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and data integration solutions to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop SQL databases and data integration solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Analyze and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular maintenance, backup, and recovery processes.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that support business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and visualize data through Microsoft Power BI to provide insight on trends and opportunities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database structures, processes, and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Play an active role in fault resolution (e.g. data pipeline failures) occurring in the operation of software, especially those requiring greater expertise.
  • Responsible for end-to-end data lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Experience within a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task as required.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision whilst managing a varied workload.
  • Customer-focused in a constantly changing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or minimum of 3 years of experience as an SQL Developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server with a strong knowledge of T-SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
  • Familiarity with database design principles and normalization.
  • Understanding of indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning techniques.
  • Ability to deliver data insights via Power BI or similar visualization tools.
