About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our End User Compute (EUC) Team at Severn Trent Water. As a key member of our IT Operations function, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our complex hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Delivery of End User Compute Infrastructure: You will be responsible for the support and delivery of End User Compute infrastructure, devices, and associated server infrastructure and technologies.
  • Hybrid Cloud Management: You will manage our hybrid cloud environment, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Microsoft Technologies Expertise: You will have strong technical expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure, Intune, and Autopilot.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Principles: You will have a deep understanding of IaC principles and be able to apply them to our infrastructure.
  • ITIL Best Practices: You will have a solid foundation in ITIL best practices and be able to apply them to our IT operations.
  • Stakeholder Management: You will work with various stakeholders to provide technology expertise and seek improvements in processes.
  • Technical Documentation: You will contribute to technical documents, strategy, and product selection.
Requirements
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure Management: You will have experience in managing IT infrastructure, including hybrid cloud environments.
  • Microsoft Technologies Expertise: You will have strong technical expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure, Intune, and Autopilot.
  • Scripting Languages: You will have experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell and Python.
  • ITIL Best Practices: You will have a solid foundation in ITIL best practices.
  • Certifications: You will have certifications in Microsoft Azure, Citrix, or ITIL.
